Beaver Rally
Dear Parent/Carer
The Beaver rally day will take place this year on Saturday 17th May at Crawfordsburn.
The total cost of this trip to be £7.50 per beaver and this will cover the cost of admission
and a healthy packed lunch. Please make payment this evening or next Wednesday at the latest.
Beavers will of course need to wear normal uniform but as the theme this year is pirates Beavers
could if they so wish also wear some appropriate fancy dress. The weather as you know is hard to
predict so I would like to suggest that all beavers bring a coat with them. As there are likely to
be some sporting activities suitable footwear and shorts might also be useful. We will be leaving from
the scout hall at 11.00am and will return at 4.00pm. I will need some parents to help with transport for
this event as coach hire is becoming increasingly expensive (at least another two cars). Parents
who volunteer to help will not need to stay! Will you please let me know at the end of this evenings
meeting if you can help. If there are not enough beavers interested or parents willing to drive then
I will have no alternative but cancel this trip. Please feel free to contact me at home if you have
queries regarding the rally day (
Yours sincerely

St George's Day
Dear Parent/Carer
This Sunday (27th April) is the annual St. George’s Day Parade. This year the parade will be taking place in Larne. We will start from Gardenmore Presbyterian Church at 2.30pm before doing a short parade around Larne. I expect the service and parade to finish around 4.30pm. Can I please ask you to meet at the Scout Hall at 1.30pm. I would really appreciate as many Beavers as possible at this important scouting event. I will be of course be taking my own car but would appreciate it if two parents would also be willing to drive. I would be grateful if you would kindly let me know at the end of this evenings meeting. Can I also please ask parents to make sure Beavers who are attending are wearing full uniform. It might also be a good idea for beavers to bring a coat along it case it gets cold.
The Beaver rally day will take place this year on Saturday 17th May at Crawfordsburn. I hope to forward you full details of this trip before the end of this month. I expect the cost of this trip to be around £6.50 per beaver. I will need some parents to help with transport for this event as coach hire is becoming very expensive (another two cars might be enough). Will you please let me know if you can help.
Yours sincerely
Ameek
